On December 17, the Sinopec Middle East Representative Office International Communication Proposal Review and the Final Team Project Presentation for Zhejiang University's Public Relations Course were successfully held in Room W2-215. The review panel included Liu Yang, Deputy Representative of Sinopec Middle East, Luo Sen, International Communication Representative, Zhang Qi, Deputy Director of the Zhejiang Institute for Sustainable Agriculture Brand Research, and the course instructor, Ji Yingru, a Hundred Talents Program Researcher.

This semester, the course design continued its tradition of industry-academia collaboration, adopting a project-based teaching method. Focusing on the international communication needs of central state-owned enterprises (SOEs), the course used Sinopec Middle East's annual communication proposal as its topic. It aimed to cultivate students' theoretical application abilities, cross-cultural thinking, and international communication practices, while also inspiring their interest in pursuing careers in international communication.

This semester, 82 students from the Public Relations course completed 16 international communication proposals based on five topics provided by Sinopec Middle East. These included:

Chinese New Year Celebrations for 2025: Proposals such as Knitting Futures Together with Joy, Green Energy Lights Up the New Year, Spring Blooms in the Oasis, and Bursting with Springtime Vitality.

Art Exhibitions: Proposals such as Origin: Awakening, Boundless Lands, and Future 'Pure Spring'.

Chinese Language Education: Proposals such as One Word, One World: Harmony of Desert Rhythms, Beautiful Language, Shared Beauty, and A Journey of High 'Dove'.

ADIPEC Exhibition for 2025: Proposals such as Embracing Green Technology, Co-Creating Miracles, A New Path for Petrochemicals, A Sustainable Future, and Pure Living, Building Tomorrow.

Cultural Exchange through Chinese Bookshelves: Proposals such as Alhedaa: A Symphony and Shared Reading, Long-lasting Friendship.

The students presented innovative and practical strategies for Sinopecs branding in the Middle East and for fostering cultural exchange between China and the Arab world, earning high praise from the review panel.

In his remarks, Liu Yang stated that industry-academia collaboration is a highly meaningful initiative. He emphasized that international communication, guided by the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind, requires the cultivation of cross-cultural sensitivity and the accumulation of practical experience. Liu commended the students for their research on the Middle East and the creative ideas they generated based on their findings. He encouraged them to expand their global perspectives, enhance their cross-cultural experiences, and align their career aspirations with the demands of the times.

This proposal presentation marked another successful example of industry-academia collaboration and the project-based teaching method in the Public Relations course. By integrating the international communication needs of central SOEs with student education, the course significantly enhanced students' strategic practice capabilities, global perspectives, and their understanding of the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind.
