On August 3, led by teachers Zhang Liping, Gong Junji, and Hu Xiaohui, the European Chinese teacher delegation from the China-Europe International Chinese Education Diverse Collaboration and Exploration Program embarked on a journey to explore the ancient Jingshan Temple nestled in deep mountains, a temple with over 1,200 years of history.

On the following day, August 4, Teacher Shen Linfeng from the Chinese Painting School of China Academy of Art conducted a unique calligraphy lesson for the delegation at Shanghu Academy. Shen introduced the art of calligraphy from four perspectives: character form, technique, thought, and extension. Calligraphy, as Shen explained, is the painting of the heart, where the strokes reflect the demeanor of the individual. The attendees not only learned to appreciate ancient calligraphic inscriptions that have carried the memory of Chinese civilization through ages but also delved into how character forms reflect one's character, understanding the saying the style is the man. The essence and breadth of calligraphy art were hence deeply realized by the participants.

The European Chinese teachers' educational journey in Zhejiang continues, with each day bringing new surprises and injecting fresh vitality into this cultural exchange endeavor. Amidst the picturesque scenery of Hangzhou, the hope is to continuously encounter, acquire knowledge and friendship, and feel the essence of tradition and sentiment, making this expedition a continuous discovery of traditional Chinese culture.
